For those of you who don’t know it, The Laboratory is a great brewpub, lovingly built out of material salvaged from earthquake-demolished buildings all over Canterbury – the bar counter from the old Hororata Hotel, the staircase from the old boarding house at Rangi Ruru, even bricks from the old Addington saleyards.
